A passenger was apprehended and banned by Air Peace after being discovered with stolen items on a flight from Lagos to Port Harcourt. The airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, confirmed the incident, stating that the individual was caught with the missing items during a search at Port Harcourt International Airport. The passenger was handed over to airport authorities for further investigation.
Air Peace emphasized its commitment to passenger safety and security and took swift action in response to the situation. The airline expressed concern over the recent surge in in-flight theft cases and announced enhanced surveillance measures to address the issue. Cabin crew members were instructed to be more vigilant, and in-flight announcements were increased to educate passengers on securing their belongings and reporting suspicious activities.
To uphold its zero-tolerance policy for misconduct jeopardizing passenger safety and comfort, Air Peace recommended blacklisting the suspect involved in the theft. The airline reassured the public of its dedication to providing a safe and secure travel experience and urged passengers to comply with security protocols.
