PDP chairman: N’Central leaders task Mutfwang to secure govs’ support

The North Central Zonal Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party has urged the Governor of Plateau State to garner support from other PDP governors to secure the party’s national chairmanship for the zone. Discussions at a recent caucus meeting in Kogi state addressed various PDP-related issues in the North Central region.

Following internal struggles within the party, efforts are being made to stabilize and strengthen the PDP. There is a push from leaders in the North Central Zone to appoint a permanent National Chairman to restore the party’s image and influence.

The zonal caucus has passed a resolution tasking the zonal leader to engage with party governors and rally support to bring back the chairmanship to the North Central region in accordance with the party’s laws. Additionally, financial constraints have hindered the National Disciplinary Committee’s progress, delaying its activities for over three months.

Despite lack of funds, the committee continues to work behind the scenes to fulfill its duties. Efforts to reach committee members for comments were unsuccessful.
