The closure was confirmed by the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who stated that the restaurant had been repeatedly warned and issued notices to comply with regulations. Despite the warnings, the establishment failed to adhere to environmental standards. The agency took action by sealing off the restaurant.
