Police arrested 35 robbery suspects in one week – Lagos PPRO

The Lagos State Police Command recently conducted a series of successful operations resulting in the arrest of 35 suspects involved in traffic robberies. These arrests were made in areas ranging from Ajah to Elemoro over the course of a week. CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrests, noting that the suspects were apprehended during various tactical operations in the Ajah area.

Some of the individuals arrested include Alao Oluwafemi, Adeshina Akinrinde, Udoh John, Afolabi Kola, Daniel Augustine, Olalekan Qudus, Shittu Lanre, and Azeez Olalekan on February 24. Additionally, others like Olayemi Moses, Oriyomi Ojo, Ismail Mubarak, Alabi Ibrahim, Bashir Umar, Nasiru Muhammed, Ashiru Sanni, Babalola Ibrahim, John James, Rafiu Yakubu, and Basit Azeez were picked up within the same week.

CSP Hundeyin explained that the tactical teams stationed in Elemoro, covering the Ajah axis from Lekki Phase 1 through to Epe, carried out these successful operations. He emphasized that similar teams across the state are dedicated to apprehending violent criminals and ensuring they face the consequences of their actions.

All 35 suspects have been arraigned following their arrests. The police’s efforts in combating crime in the state have been commendable, and they remain committed to extending their operations to other crime-prone areas to maintain public safety.
