The state governor emphasized the importance of peace in fostering a conducive environment for good governance and overall development. The governor’s statement was made during a visit from members of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Eminent Peace Ambassadors, Rivers State chapter, commemorating the International Day of Peace at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The governor, represented by the Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, stressed the significance of promoting peace within the state and across Nigeria, especially during challenging times. He expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the governor’s commitment to peace as a vital element for progress.
In his words, “We must continue to advocate for peace in every aspect of our lives, from our homes to the entire state. Our administration is dedicated to fostering peace, ensuring that everyone reaps the benefits of such efforts.”
The Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Eminent Peace Ambassadors, Rivers State Chapter, echoed the call for peace, emphasizing its role in driving development and growth under the leadership of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
