The Police Service Commission recently approved the promotion of several officers. Among those promoted were 20 Commissioners of Police, 19 Deputy Commissioners, 13 Superintendents, and 14 Deputy Superintendents. The promotions were announced by the PSC Head of Press and Public Relations in a statement released in Abuja.
The promoted officers saw advancements in their ranks, with Commissioners becoming Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Deputy Commissioners to Commissioners, Superintendents to Chief Superintendents, and Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents. The newly elevated officers include individuals like Fasuba Olabode, Musibau Ajani, Aliyu Musa, Patrick Atayero, Gyogon Grimah, Olaiya Mobolaji, and Chukwudi Ariekpere, among others.
The promotion process involved all officers appearing before the commission for examination and an interactive interview. The Chairman of the Commission, Mr Hashimu Argungu, oversaw the promotion exercise with the support of other commission members.
