The Kwara State Government has instructed Ansar-Udeen College in Ijagbo to provide a list of property damaged during a recent rainstorm in the community. The storm left over 100 residents homeless and caused destruction to educational institutions, residential homes, and market stalls.
The rainstorm severely impacted Ansar Deen College in Ijagbo, damaging more than 10 classrooms and disrupting academic activities. The school principals have appealed for urgent intervention from Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to repair the damaged infrastructure.
State officials, including the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, visited the school to assess the damage and assure the community of the government’s swift response to restore the affected facilities. Measures are being taken to address the urgent needs of the school, including repairing the damaged property and resolving staff shortages affecting academic activities.
