The National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, paid a condolence visit to Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, at the State Government House.
The purpose of the visit was to offer his sympathies to the governor following the recent passing of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and his son, Abdulwahab Namadi.
During the visit, held on Sunday, Ribadu expressed his condolences, which he had been unable to do earlier.
“I came personally to offer my condolences, which I had not been able to do earlier,” he said.
He prayed to the almighty God for the reposed of the souls of the governor’s mother and his son.
Responding while receiving the NSA at the Government House, Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, Namadi appreciated Ribadu for taking the time to visit despite his busy schedule.
“I appreciate your efforts for making time to visit despite your busy schedule,” the governor said.
The governor also prayed for the continued strength of their relationship. ‘This gesture highlights the strong bond between the two leaders,” Namadi stated.
“Your visit demonstrates your commitment to maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the country. As your office plays a crucial role in advising the President on national security matters,” he emphasised.
