The Senate has officially approved 21 individuals as federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission. This confirmation comes after a report presented by Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, the Chairman of the joint committee on National Planning, Economic Affairs, and Finance, verifying the nominees’ qualifications for public office. These nominees were appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August and subsequently required Senate confirmation.
Former majority leader highlighted that the appointments have ensured that every state in Nigeria is represented on the RMAFC board. The Senate’s approval makes the commission fully constituted, providing representation for each state on the board.
The newly confirmed commissioners include individuals from various states such as Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Katsina, Kano, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Plateau, Yobe, and Zamfara.
