The Ogun State Police Command is looking into an explosion at Quantum Steel along the Sagamu-Ikorodu Road in Ogijo that resulted in injuries to seven workers, including three expatriates. The incident, reported by a company staff member, Joseph Adewale, was caused by machinery failure. The injured individuals, four Nigerians, and three expatriates, were taken to Rolayo Hospital in Ikorodu for treatment. The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the explosion and ensure safety regulations are followed. It was emphasized that workplace safety should be a top priority for companies and industries to prevent such incidents in the future.
