Shettima unveils MSME clinic, fashion hub in Enugu

The unveiling of Nigeria’s largest Ultra-Modern MSME Fashion Hub in Enugu State was recently led by Vice President Kashim Shettima. During the event, it was announced that the Federal Government had approved a grant of N150,000 for select business owners in the state.

Shettima highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to creating a conducive business environment that supports the growth of MSMEs into strong enterprises. The initiative aims to provide solutions to challenges faced by MSMEs through national business fora held across different states.

The Vice President emphasized the importance of small businesses in Nigeria’s economy, noting their significant contribution to the GDP. He praised the government’s efforts in supporting MSMEs and acknowledged the role of regulatory agencies and financial institutions in addressing challenges faced by small businesses.

The launch also included the commissioning of the Fashion and Garment Hub for MSMEs in Enugu State, which is expected to create around 48,000 jobs and meet global standards. The hub is equipped with advanced technology to enhance production capacity and promote entrepreneurship in the state.

Governor Peter Mbah expressed gratitude for the FG’s support in developing Enugu State and highlighted the positive impact of the newly established fashion hub on entrepreneurship in the region. Other government officials and stakeholders present at the event pledged their support for initiatives aimed at promoting small businesses and entrepreneurship in the country.
