The Ofokutu Royal Family of Bilaro Ruling House in Ilesa, Osun State, has refuted claims suggesting that certain family members have withdrawn their court case regarding the Owa Obokun throne ascendancy. The family’s chairman, Banji Obembe, clarified that the decision to pursue justice through the court was a collective one and cannot be unilaterally withdrawn by any individual member. Any information indicating otherwise should be disregarded, as the case is still active in court.
Obembe stressed that the legal action was not directed at any specific individual but aimed at ensuring fairness and preventing marginalization within the royal lineage. He called for patience from the Ijesa community, stakeholders, and the public, urging them to trust the judicial process to provide a just resolution to the matter. The family remains confident that the court will rule in their favor, affirming their legitimate right to the throne.
