The Kano State Police Command recently announced the successful rescue of a four-year-old boy and the arrest of three suspected kidnappers. The police spokesperson confirmed the operation, revealing that the suspects were apprehended in Gwarzo Local Government Area after the surveillance team’s efforts. The child, who was taken from Sharada Quarters in Kano, was found in Gwarzo Town where a ransom demand of N10 million was made. Following negotiations, a partial payment of N300,000 was made, and the police were alerted. The Commissioner of Police issued directives for the child’s rescue and the arrest of the culprits. Three suspects were apprehended, with the main suspect confessing to the crime. Fortunately, the child was rescued unharmed, taken to the hospital, and reunited with his family. The police acknowledged the swift action and professionalism of the surveillance team in ensuring the safe recovery of the child.
