President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of key officials for the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Abeokuta, Ogun, and the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Yauri, Potsikum, Yobe.
Prof. Fatiu Arogundade has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Abeokuta. Dr. Obayomi Olukayode Gregory will serve as the new Registrar, Mrs. Adedokun Omolola Olufunso as the Bursar, and Dr. Idiat Odunola Agboola as the university’s Librarian. Arogundade, a Professor of Medicine with extensive experience, has made significant contributions to medical research and academic reforms.
The newly appointed officials are expected to lead with vision and establish a strong foundation for the institutions’ growth. President Tinubu expressed confidence in their ability to develop the university and produce top-tier medical professionals.
Additionally, Prof. Sa’adu Umar has been appointed as the Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Yauri, Kebbi, along with other key officials. The leadership team at the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Yauri, Kebbi, will serve five-year terms as mandated by the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023.
Both institutions play a crucial role in providing quality education and training in various disciplines, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in their respective fields.
