In a recent development, a resolution was reached between the Lagos State Butchers Association and the National Butchers Union of Nigeria, thanks to the intervention of Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General. The conflict had stemmed from attempts by the Lagos State chapter to break away from the national body, led by Alhaji Bamidele Kazeem.
During a meeting that involved key stakeholders from both the national and state chapters, Tinubu-Ojo urged all parties to prioritize peace. She emphasized the need for unity, pointing out that growth can only flourish in a harmonious environment. The Iyaloja-General stressed the importance of fair distribution of welfare among all members, denouncing any favoritism within the union.
Following the successful resolution, Elder Shola Adetele was appointed as the interim chairman of the state union by the national body. Adetele expressed appreciation to Tinubu-Ojo and pledged to lead an inclusive administration that focuses on the well-being of all members while maintaining a strong collaboration with the national body.
