Authorities in Turkey apprehended five individuals on Friday for allegedly engaging in espionage for the Iranian intelligence service, according to reports from local media.
The arrests were made in Istanbul, Antalya, and Mersin, with the suspects accused of gathering information on military installations and strategic areas within Turkey and abroad to share with the Iranian intelligence service.
The nationality of the detained suspects has not been disclosed at this time.
