The University of Nigeria, Nsukka’s Governing Council recently visited Prof. (Mrs.) Uche Azikiwe, the widow of late former President Nnamdi Azikiwe, at her residence in Nsukka. Led by the Pro-Chancellor, Kayode Ojo, the council members paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Azikiwe to honor the legacy of the late leader, who was not only a founding father of Nigeria but also the founder of UNN.
During the visit, Ojo expressed admiration for Azikiwe’s nationalistic spirit and vision. Mrs. Azikiwe, in response, appreciated the historic visit, highlighting that it was the first from the school officials since her husband’s passing in 1996.
