A fatal auto crash resulted in the tragic loss of 14 lives on Tage Bridge in the Kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The incident occurred when a vehicle carrying passengers crashed, leaving a devastating scene according to eyewitnesses. The State Police Command confirmed the accident, with the Public Relations Officer, DSP Shi’isu Adam, stating that the driver survived and is cooperating with investigations. The victims’ identities are being withheld until their families are notified. The accident involved a Golf 3 wagon traveling from Hadejia town to Makera village, which somersaulted and plunged into the river. The police confirmed the deaths of eight women, two men, and four young men at the scene.
