A 70-year-old woman from Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, recently had a surprising turn of events when she received a response to a job application she had sent almost fifty years ago.
In 1976, she had applied for a motorcycle stunt rider position, a job she was passionate about. However, after not hearing back for so long, she assumed she was unsuccessful.
Almost five decades later, she was shocked to discover that her application had been stuck behind a drawer at a post office all this time.
During renovation work at the Staines Post Office, the long-forgotten letter was found, and it was returned to her with a note.
