113 foreigners arrested for cybercrime allegations

 Over 130 suspects, including 113 foreign nationals from China and Malaysia, have been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force for engaging in high-level cybercrimes. The suspects, consisting of 87 males and 26 females, were taken into custody alongside 17 Nigerian individuals.

The arrests took place at a building in the Next Cash and Carry area of Jahi in the Federal Capital Territory, where the suspects were reportedly using advanced technology to carry out criminal activities.

The operation was spearheaded by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, along with officers from the Nigeria Police Force Zone 7 Command Abuja and the National Cyber Crime Centre (NPF-NCCC).

Authorities are currently examining the seized items from the suspects and will press charges once investigations are completed. Updates on the progress of the investigations will be shared with the public in due course.
