This project, announced by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo during a visit to the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, aims to leverage the state’s rich natural resources and strategic location for economic growth. The proposed special economic zone is expected to boost Kogi State’s economy, create job opportunities, and enhance infrastructure development. NEPZA has pledged its support for the project, including facilitating necessary approvals and licensing. The state government has allocated land for the zone within the Ajaokuta development corridor and plans to fund the project through a Public-Private Partnership.
