The Edo State All Progressives Congress has expressed disapproval of the decisions made by the outgoing governor, particularly criticizing the conversion of his former political aides and personal staff from his company into the state Civil Service. The party believes these last-minute actions could pose challenges for the incoming governor. The state chairman of the party highlighted these concerns in a statement, emphasizing that such actions violate civil service protocols and could hinder the smooth transition of governance.
Moreover, the party raised issues regarding the establishment of a new minimum wage committee and the alleged misuse of state resources by the outgoing administration. They urged the people of Edo to remain vigilant and protect the state’s assets. In response to these criticisms, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation advised the APC to cease complaints and focus on preparing for governance, stressing the importance of readiness for the responsibilities ahead.
