The police in Kwara State have made arrests in connection with the reported killing of a student from Kwara State University. This incident follows a similar case involving a student from Kwara Polytechnic a few weeks earlier. The victim, Suleiman Olayinka, was allegedly killed by policemen in the Tanke area of Ilorin. Witnesses reported that the officers accosted the victim, leading to a fatal confrontation. The police have acknowledged the incident and stated that they are investigating the matter. Previously, in a separate incident, a student from Kwara State Polytechnic, Quoyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, was allegedly killed by the police during a stop-and-search operation. Three police officers involved in that incident have been arrested, dismissed, and are currently facing trial at the Kwara State High Court.
