Birthday: 2,000 benefit from Diri’s aide’s free medical outreach

A health outreach event was organized by a non-governmental organization founded by the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Health. The event provided free medical services to residents of Okoloba and Sabagreia communities in Bayelsa State.

The outreach, in its seventh edition, catered to over 2,000 individuals, including the elderly and children. Services offered included screenings, tests, and treatments for various health issues such as malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis, COVID, and hernia. Additionally, free medicated glasses were distributed to those with eye problems, and malnourished children received necessary attention.

The founder of the organization expressed his commitment to celebrating his birthday through healthcare outreach programs in underserved rural areas. He shared his motivation to provide healthcare access to those facing challenges in obtaining medical care.

The event coordinator highlighted the positive impact the organization has had on communities across three local government areas. Local community leaders also praised the founder for the outreach, recognizing the relief it brought to individuals with limited access to healthcare.
