The CEO of Open AI, Sam Altman, has addressed the allegations made by his sister, Annie Altman, accusing him of childhood sexual abuse. Altman, along with his mother and two brothers, denied the claims, stating they are false and hurtful.
Altman, known for his work in AI development, has been a prominent figure in Silicon Valley. His company’s launch of ChatGPT in 2022 sparked advancements in AI research.
As a successful entrepreneur, Altman aims to create a “general” AI with human-like cognitive abilities for the benefit of humanity. The Altman family has expressed their support for Annie, providing financial assistance and care for her well-being.
In response to Annie’s legal complaint, the family refuted the allegations, stating that the claims have evolved over time and are entirely false.
The complaint alleges instances of abuse from 1997 to 2006, with Annie describing her struggles with mental health and estrangement from her family in a magazine report.
