The Peoples Democratic Party has emerged victorious in all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the 30 local government areas of Osun State. The Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Hashim Abioye, announced this during a press conference held in Osogbo, the state capital. Abioye confirmed that the PDP had also secured all 332 councillorship seats in the election. He assured that Certified True Copies of the election results would be available to interested parties. The OSSIEC chairman congratulated the winning candidates and declared them duly elected councillors. The PDP candidates in all 332 wards were declared winners, with the party claiming victory in all local government areas. Abioye, as the Chief Returning Officer, officially declared the PDP candidates as the duly elected chairmen of their respective areas.
