The former Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia North, expressed his views on the possibility of an Igbo presidency in the upcoming 2023 election. He stated his support for President Bola Tinubu to serve another term, citing his ability to stimulate the economy and bring about positive changes in the country.
During an interview on a television program, the Senator emphasized the importance of the South East region presenting a widely accepted candidate for the presidency. He highlighted the necessity of having a candidate who is embraced by all Nigerians, rather than solely by one region.
Regarding the timing for an Igbo presidency, the Senator avoided specifying a timeframe and reiterated his endorsement for President Tinubu’s re-election bid. He praised Tinubu’s economic efforts and the endorsement he received from the party’s National Executive Committee.
