Jandor returns to APC

A former governorship candidate of a political party in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, who is popularly known as Jandor, has officially switched his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Jandor disclosed this decision during a press conference held at his office in Ikeja, Lagos. This move comes after his resignation from his previous party, citing internal conflicts and a lack of party discipline as key factors for his departure. Jandor expressed disappointment with his former party’s handling of anti-party activities during the recent general elections.

He emphasized the importance of a political party’s primary goal to win elections and lead the government for the welfare and development of the people. Jandor stated that after thorough consultations with various stakeholders and supporters who share his vision for a better Lagos, he has chosen to align with a party that prioritizes winning elections.

Jandor mentioned that he consulted with leaders and supporters from different parties before deciding to join the APC. Addressing concerns about his initial exit from the APC, he likened his experience to a Yoruba saying about learning from different situations.

He praised the leadership qualities within the APC, mentioning the party’s commitment to winning elections for the benefit of its members and the state. Jandor highlighted his unwavering dedication to the progress of Lagos State and stressed the importance of unity among progressives to achieve common goals.

Jandor expressed gratitude to key figures within the APC, including President Bola Tinubu, for their recognition of his contributions to democracy. He acknowledged the efforts of Femi Gbajabiamila and Seyi Tinubu in persuading him to rejoin the APC.

Assuring his supporters that this move is in the best interest of Lagos, Jandor encouraged them to join him in this new political journey. He reiterated his commitment to service, integrity, and progress, aiming to create a better Lagos for current and future generations.
