The All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has vowed to sweep all polls in the 2027 general elections, pledging to support Governor Bassey Otu and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
The National Committee Chairman overseeing the party’s Ward and Local Government Congresses in Cross River State, Samuel Yarnap, stated this on Saturday in Calabar during inspection, describing the congresses across the state as “peaceful, orderly, and a model of internal democracy.”
Yarnap commended party members for demonstrating continued unity and harmony, stressing that the unity within the party is a culture in the state and widely recognized by the national structure of the party.
He said, “I am impressed with how well-organized these exercises are conducted. Cross River is setting a benchmark as one of the best organized in the country, and I am confident it will rank among states with the most peaceful and rancour free congresses nationwide.”
Yarnap called on party members to maintain the spirit of unity as the party gradually prepares for the 2027 general elections, adding that the party will win all polls in the 2027 general elections.
“Differences may arise within the party, but members must always see themselves as one family and work together toward shared goals. Come 2027, we will surely win all the polls across all the polling units”, he said.
He also warned against actions that could threaten party cohesion, adding, “Members must not allow opposition forces to infiltrate and destabilise the APC structure in the state.”
He reassured stakeholders that both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu are committed to the welfare of party members and determined to leave lasting legacies.
Apostle James Anam, Chairman of Calabar Municipality, also commended the conduct of the congresses.
Chief Koko Henshaw, APC Special Leader of Ward 4 Calabar South LGA, attributed the hitch free exercise to the shared purpose created by Otu, adding that all hands must be on deck for landslide victory in 2027.
