Osifo scores zero as Tinubu wins APC presidential primary in Osun

President Bola Tinubu on Saturday got a total of  100,880 votes to defeat his only challenger for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, Stanley Osifo in Osun State.

Osifo got zero vote in the exercise held across the 332 wards in Osun State.

The state collation officer, Adegboyega Oyetola, while announcing the result of the primary in Osogbo, declared the exercise as peaceful.

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, further said the exercise has once again demonstrated that the APC remains a party firmly rooted in democratic values, internal cohesion, transparency and progressive governance.

“This impressive turnout is not only historic, but also a resounding affirmation of the confidence reposed by members of our party in the leadership, vision and Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“It reflects the deep trust and abiding belief of our members in the direction of our great party and in the transformative leadership currently being provided at the national level.
The peaceful conduct witnessed across the thirty Local Government Areas of Osun State, including the Ife East Area Office, is a testament to the enduring strength and unity of our party,” Oyetola said.

Announcing the result of the exercise, Oyetola said, “Total digitally registered members of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State :109,806

“Total Accredited members for today’s presidential Primary election :100,880

“His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR — 100,880 votes

“Mr. Stanley Osayamen Osifo — 0 votes (Zero Votes).

“By the powers vested in me as the Collation Officer for Osun State, I hereby declare His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election 2026 in Osun State.”

Urging APC members  to remain steadfast, united and committed to the collective task ahead, Oyetola noted that the journey  requires sacrifice, unity of purpose and sustained mobilisation to get decisive electoral victory in the August 15 governorship poll in the state.

Earlier, the governorship candidate of the APC in the August 15 poll, Bola Oyebamiji, commended members of the party for turning out in large number to participate in the exercise.

He charged them to continue to work for the success of the party in the polls ahead, assuring them that no stone will be left unturned to achieve victory in the coming elections.
