The recent announcement by the Federal Government reveals an upcoming adjustment in the fees for Nigerian Passport applications starting September 1, 2024.
As stated by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Public Relations Officer, DCI Kenneth Udo, this modification aims to enhance the quality and credibility of the Nigerian Standard Passport.
Under the revised fee schedule, the price for a 32-page Passport booklet valid for 5 years will escalate from N35,000 to N50,000. Similarly, the 64-page Passport booklet with a 10-year validity will see an increase from N70,000 to N100,000. The statement also clarified that fees for Nigerian citizens residing abroad will not be affected by this change.
