The official Facebook page of the Kano State Hisbah Board has been compromised by hackers who posted inappropriate and explicit content, sparking public outrage.
Commander General Sheikh Aminu Daurawa confirmed the hack and assured that the board is working to address the situation.
The board’s ICT department is actively restoring the page and liaising with Meta to resolve the issue. They urge the public to report the hacked page to Meta in English to prevent further spread of inappropriate content.
Head of ICT Sani Zailani mentioned previous hacks on the account and stated that Meta has been contacted for assistance, with a promise to resolve the issue within 48 hours.
Appreciation was expressed for the support received from the public, underscoring ongoing efforts to recover the page and regain control.
