The National Orientation Agency has been recognized by the Federal Government for its advanced use of technology and focus on grassroots interactions within the country. The Minister for Information and Orientation commended the Agency during an event in Abuja, emphasizing its crucial role in connecting the government with local communities to shape national narratives and promote inclusivity.
The theme of the event was “Strategic Repositioning of the National Orientation Agency,” and the Minister praised the Director-General for prioritizing technology, highlighting the recent launch of the “Mobiliser” app.
According to the Minister, the NOA has established itself as a key player in fostering unity and inclusiveness across the country by engaging with grassroots communities effectively. He acknowledged the evolving landscape and the importance of adapting to modernization and innovation, commending the Agency for embracing technology under the leadership of the Director-General.
The Director-General outlined various initiatives aimed at improving government-citizen engagement, including the launch of the ‘Mobiliser App’ to gather feedback from Nigerians, especially the youth. He also mentioned the newly operational television and radio studios and the introduction of the Explainer Newsletter as additional platforms for engagement.
