The Peoples Democratic Party National Working Committee is currently in a crucial meeting to discuss the Rivers and other state congresses ahead of the National Executive Committee meeting. The NWC meeting, which had faced delays for three weeks, is now addressing tensions within the party, particularly between notable party members and the PDP Governors Forum regarding the Rivers party congresses.
The political discord between key figures in the party had intensified recently, resulting in public endorsements and criticisms among party members. The ongoing meeting at the PDP headquarters in Abuja is attended by various NWC members, including acting National Chairman, National Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, National Organizing Secretary, National Legal Adviser, and Deputy National Chairman South.
The primary focus of the meeting is to review issues related to the state congresses, especially in Rivers and other states facing challenges. Details of the meeting will be shared at a later time.
