The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has pledged government support for the reconstruction of the GSM village in Kpata, Lokoja, which was devastated by a recent fire. The aim is to help the affected individuals regain their livelihoods.
During his visit to the site of the fire incident, Governor Ododo expressed concern over the significant damage caused and assured the victims of assistance to recover from the setback they have experienced.
He highlighted the importance of the GSM village in providing employment opportunities for many youths and women in the state, emphasizing its positive impact on the local economy.
The governor guaranteed immediate relief for the market operators and outlined plans for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the affected properties.
Traders and residents in the area expressed gratitude for the governor’s visit, citing renewed determination to rebuild and strengthen the business community.
