A recent episode of African Voices Changemakers featured three talented footballers who have excelled in the American Professional Football League, also known as The National Football League.
The three players, all of Nigerian descent, are Christian Emeka Okoye, Kenneth Odumegwu, and Haggai Chisom Ndubuisi.

Okoye, also known as “the Nigerian Nightmare,” had a successful career as a fullback for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1987 to 1992, earning accolades such as an NFL rushing champion title in 1989 and multiple Pro Bowl appearances.
Odumegwu, born in Lagos, transitioned from soccer and basketball to American football, becoming a professional linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks.
Ndubuisi, a defensive lineman for the Washington Commanders, entered the NFL through the International Player Pathway program and has played for various teams.
