A recent report from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has identified Agege and Surulere Local Government Areas as having the poorest air quality in the state, ranking them as hazardous and very unhealthy areas.
The Air Quality Index report for October 2024, released by LASEPA, revealed that Agege had the worst air quality with a hazardous rating of 103%, indicating severe pollution levels detrimental to public health. Surulere followed with a “very unhealthy” rating of 76.1%.
