A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State has criticized a former Minister of Transport for openly criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The APC chieftain, who was part of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, viewed the criticisms as unpatriotic and advised the former minister to move on from losing the APC presidential ticket to Tinubu in the past. The former Minister had expressed concerns about the country’s economic challenges and questioned why there were no protests against the Tinubu government. In response, the APC member questioned the former Minister’s motives, suggesting that he may still be harboring resentment from past events.
The statement emphasized the importance of loyalty and statesmanship in politics, urging politicians to avoid making statements that could incite violence among Nigerians. It also called for politicians to support the President’s efforts in stabilizing the economy and discouraged incitement of protests against the government. The message highlighted the temporary nature of economic challenges and stressed the need for unity and cooperation to overcome them.
