The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has denied social media reports claiming that candidates associated with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri from the last primaries were replaced in Abuja.
When contacted, the APC spokesman in Adamawa State, Dogo Victor, dismissed the reports, describing them as sponsored claims intended to cause a crisis within the party.
“Do not mind them. There is nothing like that. Nobody has been replaced with another name. The primary election results remain intact,” he said.
He added that those who lost in the primaries were attempting to create disaffection within the party.
“Some people who lost during the primaries, conducted in a free and fair environment, are fanning the embers of crisis. The APC in Adamawa State remains one family,” he said.
The social media reports had alleged that House of Representatives member Dauda Nyampa, representing Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency, who was said to have been adopted without a primary election, was dropped in Abuja.
They also claimed that another House of Representatives member, James Barka of the Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, who emerged through adoption, was replaced in Abuja.
Similarly, Hajiya Ramatu Bello, an Abuja-based politician allegedly linked to the Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency ticket, was said to have been affected.
Further claims circulating online suggested that a group linked to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, was attempting to remove allies of Governor Fintiri ahead of the 2027 general elections.
It was also alleged in some reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, intervened to secure Fintiri’s Senate ticket amid internal political tensions.
The party spokesman denied the report, insisting that the results, as collated during the exercise in Adamawa, remained intact.
