Bauchi releases N130m for Quran competition

Bauchi State Governor recently announced the allocation of N130 million to support the 39th edition of the State Qur’anic Recitation Competition. The governor emphasized the importance of promoting Quranic memorization among the youth in the state. He highlighted the historical significance of the competition in Nigeria and the need to continue supporting it to inspire current and future generations.

During the opening ceremony in Jama’are Local Government Area, the governor, represented by the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, encouraged participants to view the recitation beyond mere competition and recognize its spiritual rewards. The Chairman of the State Qur’anic Recitation Competition Committee expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for his ongoing support. He reassured everyone of the committee’s commitment to ensuring the success of the competition. Participants from all twenty local government areas of the state will compete in six categories.

The event is aimed at nurturing Quranic memorization skills and promoting excellence at both national and international levels.
