President Tinubu advocated for Africa to be represented in the United Nations Security Council, proposing that two permanent seats be allocated to the continent. He emphasized the importance of reflecting global diversity within the council to address shared global challenges effectively. Tinubu also highlighted the need for reform in the international tax system to support sustainable development in developing countries.
Furthermore, he praised the creation of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, spearheaded by the Brazilian counterpart, as a significant step in eradicating global hunger and poverty. Tinubu expressed his administration’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals related to poverty eradication and zero hunger.
