Jigawa explosion: FG pledges to support rebuilding Majiya town 

The Federal Government has pledged support to Jigawa state in the reconstruction of Majia town following the recent fuel tanker explosion that claimed 153 lives. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, made the commitment during a visit to Majia town with an FG delegation to offer condolences.

Akume mentioned that the President was deeply saddened by the tragedy and has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. The government is committed to providing assistance to the affected families and rebuilding the community.

In addition to the FG’s delegation, the Kwara State Governor expressed sympathy for the victims’ families and emphasized the need for public awareness to prevent similar accidents in the future.

The Federal Road Safety Commission has initiated an investigation into the incident and is working towards reducing road accidents in the country. The Jigawa State Governor appreciated the Federal Government’s support and the solidarity shown during this difficult time.
