The wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has sadly passed away. The state Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, made the announcement in a press statement released early Friday morning.
The First Lady, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, breathed her last on September 26, 2024, while surrounded by her family at a hospital.
The statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset”, expressed the heavy hearts of the state as they mourn the passing of the First Lady. It mentioned her peaceful passing at the hospital and requested prayers and support for the grieving family.
The Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, remains dedicated to serving the state despite the personal loss and appreciates the support from everyone during this difficult time.
