Nenadi’s emergence saved LP from collapse-Group

The Labour Party candidates in Kaduna State for the 2023 elections recently showed their support for Sen. Nenadi Usman, the acting National Chairperson of the party. They emphasized the need for unity and backing Usman to strengthen the party as a formidable opposition force.

Dr. Yusuf Abdullahi, the group’s spokesperson, conveyed this message through a press statement in Kaduna. He praised Usman’s leadership, stating that her position as the National Caretaker Committee Chairperson had prevented the party from potential deregistration. Abdullahi criticized a splinter group’s calls for Usman’s removal, labeling them as disconnected from reality.

Abdullahi highlighted Usman’s achievements, including the party’s successes in various regions, particularly in Kaduna State during the 2023 general elections. He commended her conflict resolution efforts and her political journey from a Commissioner to a Senator and Minister, expressing optimism for the party’s future under her leadership.

The spokesperson also acknowledged the contributions of other party members such as the 2023 presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti. He stressed the importance of transparent party administration for democratic governance and recognized the role played by the Kaduna State 2023 Gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Jonathan Asake, in unifying the party.

In conclusion, Abdullahi urged all Labour Party members to support Sen. Nenadi Usman as the national leader and Hon. Yusuf Danbaki as the State Party Chairman, emphasizing the party’s commitment to their leadership.
