Obi’s consumption-to-production mantra lacks policy document — Okupe

A statement from Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former Director-General of the Labour Party presidential campaign, pointed out that the 2023 presidential candidate for the party, Peter Obi, did not have a policy document to back up his campaign slogan of transitioning Nigeria “from consumption to production.”

Okupe, in his evaluation of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noted that Tinubu had a more robust policy framework compared to other contenders in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections, including Obi and the candidate from the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

“Tinubu’s policy document surpasses those of his competitors in the 2023 presidential race. Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party is a seasoned, knowledgeable, and thorough politician. I am aware that he also presented a compelling case that would have implications for both him and the Nigerian populace,” Okupe remarked.
