The former governor recently appeared publicly alongside the current Delta State Governor at a service held in memory of a prominent politician’s mother.
After facing allegations of significant financial misconduct, the ex-governor had been detained but was subsequently released upon surrendering his passport.
Various political figures, including the Delta State PDP Chairman and other party members, attended the service, which was held at the deceased’s residence in the state capital.
The service featured a sermon by Pastor Ifeanyi Ogude, emphasizing the importance of leading a purposeful life and leaving a positive impact on others.
The late Mrs. Obielum, who passed away at 87, will be laid to rest at her residence in Ndokwa East Local Government Area.
