Okpebholo offers automatic employment to Edo first-class graduates

The Governor of Edo State has approved a new initiative to offer automatic employment to first-class graduates from any university, whether Nigerian or foreign, into the state Civil and Public Service. The aim of this Graduate Development Programme is to enhance the quality of manpower within the system for improved service delivery.

The Head of Service of the state, Anthony Okungbowa, revealed that this program is designed to attract top talents and ensure effective service delivery. The Governor is dedicated to not only recruiting first-class graduates but also retaining them within the Edo State Civil and Public Service.

All first-class graduates of Edo origin are encouraged to seize this opportunity for automatic employment, with the program initially focusing on graduates from 2020 onwards. Selected participants will undergo rotations across different government departments and may also gain experience in the private sector to broaden their skills.

This initiative is expected to bring valuable expertise into the system and contribute to the overall development of the state.
