The government of Oyo State has implemented a ban on all meetings held by head teachers or teachers during school hours, whether on or off public school premises. Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, made this announcement while overseeing the resumption of schools in Ibadan. The purpose of this ban is to ensure strict compliance with the unified school timetable across all public schools in the state.
Adeniran emphasized that any primary school head teacher found conducting meetings during school hours will face serious consequences. He also urged unions and associations in the basic education sector to follow this directive as the new academic session commenced. Additionally, Adeniran highlighted SUBEB’s dedication to utilizing technology to enhance the education system in Oyo State.
During a training session on the BESDA Attendance Monitoring Information System, Adeniran expressed SUBEB’s commitment to upskilling participants in using the BAMIS APP.
