In preparation for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State on November 16, the Peoples Democratic Party’s state chapter officially launched its campaign. Supporters of the party gathered in Akure, the state capital, dressed in party attire and cheered on as the party flag was presented to the candidate, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, by the National Chairman of the party.
The campaign rally saw the presence of various party leaders from the national, state, and local levels, including governors from other states. The National Chairman emphasized the party’s unity and determination to win back the state from the ruling party, urging the people to protect their votes and bring about change.
The PDP candidate, Ajayi, alongside party leaders, highlighted the need for a free and fair election, calling for the removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo State. Other speakers at the event echoed the message of unity and urged the electorate to vote wisely, emphasizing the importance of protecting their votes.
Overall, the event aimed to energize supporters, convey the party’s vision for the state, and mobilize voters to participate in the upcoming election.
