The Transmission Company of Nigeria has located the fault that caused a power outage on the Ugwuaji-Apir 330-kilovolt (kV) double circuit transmission line. The outage affected several regions in the North-East, North-West, and parts of North-Central. The fault was discovered in the Igumale area of Benue State. The company’s linesmen identified the fault as a snapped 330kv transmission line in a swampy forest area. Repair efforts are underway, with equipment and materials being mobilized to the site for work to commence. Due to the challenging terrain, TCN will need to transport necessary machinery and materials from the Enugu Regional office. The company is committed to resolving the situation promptly and appreciates the patience of the affected government and electricity consumers.
